Angels Among Us

First Church of Saybrook is launching a worship series entitled “Angels Among Us”. This series seeks to bring the message, “Do not be afraid” to a world that is desperate to hear comforting words. The focus is identifying and lifting up the very human ‘angels among us’ who bring peace, joy, comfort, love and healing to us every day. Those angels may be family members or friends, community members, neighbors, first responders and so many more.

 

The church is engaging the OSB community in a variety of ways. One way is to place ‘angel wings’ around town and invite people to stand between the wings, take a picture and share it on social media. They might take a moment to name an ‘angel’ in their life and share their experience. Angel wings, large and small will allow people of all ages to participate.

Wings will be placed on the OSB Town Green and at the OSB Chamber of Commerce, and of course at First Church of Christ in Saybrook.
