On Sunday October 27 at 6:30 pm in Fellowship Hall we will be studying The Passion, from the book Love Walked Among Us, by Paul E. Miller, Founder of See Jesus Ministry.
We will be finishing the lesson on Faith on October 27 and begin the final lesson of the Love Walked Among Us book - The Passion. Then on November 3 we will begin the lesson - The Passion.
The Passion lesson traces Jesus's journey to the cross as he teaches his disciples the importance of humility. Jesus's journey of love for all of humanity is a downward path through the valley of humility. Love is usually difficult because it is so humbling.
We will also study Jesus's journey to the cross, as he speaks openly about the sadness he feels with the nation of Israel, Judas and his heavenly Father. Jesus also expresses his feelings about his death and separation from his Father.
This study also focuses on the last 24 hours of his life as he comes under extreme pressure in Gethsemane and how he displays his love under this scrutiny and pressure. We will end with reflecting the meaning of the cross and how the resurrection of Jesus breaks the power of death and the ultimate victory of love.
So you can see that this is a long session ( 11 weeks ) and filled with wonderful exploration of Jesus's journey to the cross. For the full schedule, please see the attachment.
